Nurture Room Teacher

Erdington, Birmingham

Are you a compassionate and dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting children’s emotional, social, and behavioural development?

We are currently working alongside a welcoming mainstream primary school in Erdington who are seeking an experienced Nurture Room Teacher to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access learning successfully.

This role is offered via an education agency, with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Teaching and supporting pupils within a nurture room setting

  • Planning and delivering tailored interventions to support SEMH and SEN needs

  • Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment

  • Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and develop positive behaviours

  • Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral staff

  • Monitoring progress and contributing to individual support plans

  • Supporting pupils’ reintegration back into the classroom where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience

  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or nurture provisions

  • A nurturing, patient, and consistent approach

  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt teaching to individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
