Full-Time Nursery Teaching Assistant – Preston Primary School
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm
Location: Preston
Start Date: February 2026
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the nursery provision of a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Preston.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for early years education to make a lasting impact within a nurturing and well-resourced setting.
About the Role:
- Supporting children aged 3–4 within a busy nursery class.
- Assisting with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
- Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a safe, stimulating environment.
- Helping to monitor progress and maintain accurate learning records.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting is essential.
- A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.
- Positive, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
