Job Description

Schools in Leyland are looking for dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants to support their nursery and Early Years Foundation Stage classrooms. This role involves supporting young learners during key developmental stages and helping them build confidence through interactive and play‑led learning.

This temp‑to‑perm role is ideal for candidates wanting stable, long‑term work within the Early Years environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teacher‑led activities and child‑initiated play
• Promoting language, social skills, and early learning understanding
• Helping prepare resources and creating engaging learning environments
• Monitoring and recording children’s progress
• Supporting personal care routines when required

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience with early childhood development
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
