Nursery Practitioner Needed – School Nursery (Walker, Newcastle)
We are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming school nursery in Walker, Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a school-based early years team, supporting children in a structured and nurturing learning environment.
Location: Walker, Newcastle upon Tyne
Position: Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 preferred)
Hours: Full-time
About the Role:

Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 3–4 years
-
Work within a school nursery setting, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
-
Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
-
Promote children’s social, emotional, and educational development
-
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
-
Work closely with teachers and early years staff as part of the wider school team
What We’re Looking For:

CACHE Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
-
Experience working in a nursery or school-based early years setting
-
A positive, patient, and nurturing approach
-
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
-
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
This role is ideal for a practitioner looking for the stability and structure of a school nursery while making a real difference in children’s early education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
