Nursery Practitioner / Teaching Assistant
Garstang, Lancashire
Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and nurturing early years setting in Garstang, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner / Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting early childhood development and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
The Role:
- Supporting children aged 0–5 within a nursery or EYFS setting
- Assisting the class teacher or room leader with daily activities and routines
- Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
- Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and developmental needs
- Observing and reporting on children’s progress where required
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or primary school setting
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for early years education
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Qualifications:
- A Level 3 Childcare / Early Years qualification is desirable, but not essential for candidates with relevant experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
