Length of role: Temp to perm starting September 2026
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour

Are you a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive mainstream primary school in Blackburn? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school from September 2026 on a temp-to-perm basis.
This EYFS Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to support children at a crucial stage in their development, helping to build strong foundations in learning through play-based and structured activities. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support, ensuring every child can thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification (essential)
- Experience working within an EYFS or primary school setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and caring approach to supporting young learners
- Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
