Are you passionate about supporting little learners at the very start of their education journey?

At Teaching Personnel, we’re working closely with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Lancaster and the surrounding areas, and we’re looking for dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to join us from September.

This is a brilliant opportunity if you love working in Early Years and want to make a real difference in a child’s development — helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting children within Nursery and Reception settings
  • Assisting the class teacher with engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and early learning development
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups where needed

⭐ What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children in an EYFS setting (school, nursery, or similar)
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • A genuine passion for early childhood development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential

Why work with Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant who understands your needs
  • Access to CPD and training opportunities
  • Flexible work to suit you — full-time, part-time, and long-term roles available
  • Opportunities to secure permanent positions with partner schools

Location:

Roles available across Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth, and surrounding areas

If you’re looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and you can genuinely shape young children’s early experiences of education — we’d love to hear from you.
