Nursery Assistant – EYFS Specialist
Location: Radcliffe
Start Date: September 2nd 2026
Contract: Part‑time (3 days per week), Fixed term for the academic year
A warm, welcoming, and community‑focused nursery setting in Radcliffe is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant with a strong EYFS specialism.
This is a part‑time role (3 days per week) starting in September, ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and creating nurturing learning environments for young children.
The Role
As an EYFS Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children during their crucial early years of development. Working closely with the nursery team, you will help to provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children feel secure and supported.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Delivering engaging play‑based activities that promote learning through play
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support where needed
- Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Assisting with daily routines, including snack times, toileting, and transitions
- Supporting children with additional needs, adapting support to suit individual requirements
- Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive nursery environment
- Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
ü Holds a relevant Early Years or Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable)
ü Has experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
ü Is nurturing, enthusiastic, and child‑centred
ü Has a good understanding of early years development and safeguarding
ü Is confident supporting children with additional needs
ü Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
ü Paediatric First Aid certification is welcomed (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
