Short‑Term & Ad Hoc Work
£95 – £105 per day
Are you a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working with young children in supportive nursery environments?
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a range of early years settings across Stockport to recruit adaptable practitioners for short‑term and flexible roles. This opportunity is ideal for educators who value choice in where and when they work while continuing to make a positive difference in children’s early development.
Your Day‑to‑Day Role:
- Stepping into nurseries to provide reliable, high‑quality cover.
- Supporting children through engaging, play‑based learning activities.
- Assisting teams with staff absences, room support, and daily routines.
- Following the EYFS framework to promote learning and development.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
- Maintaining high safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
What You’ll Need:
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Confidence working in different nursery settings.
- Knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles.
- A warm, professional, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous nursery experience (beneficial, but not required).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
