Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher looking for a new role?

Or are you currently studying for your PGCE and looking for work in September?

If you are, we may have the ideal position for you!

We are looking to speak to any Newly Qualified Teachers who will be looking for long-term/permanent posts from September onwards (or before, if schools open!).

We will be able to offer full or part-time posts in a number of secondary schools, where we should be able to pay you to scale from the first day, with a number of our partnership schools already agreeing to assist with NQT inductions. In recent years, many NQT's have been taken on permanent contracts by our partnership schools.

Therefore, this a way in which you will have a temporary period in a school initially, to judge if it's the right place for you. If it is, you will have the opportunity to be taken onto the school's contract on a permanent basis!

Schools have already been talking about September recruitment as there is an uncertainty at the moment. Schools no longer have the resources or time to do their own recruitment for their September vacancies. Teaching Personnel have now taken the responsibility to recruit for schools in the Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Burscough, Darwen, Accrington and Blackburn area.

Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading Education Recruitment Agency with over 20 years' of business and a wealth of experience in the Education Market. In the Lancashire area we have a number of exclusive partnerships with Secondary Schools, including a Catholic Partnerships with schools under numerous Diocese.

We will offer ongoing support and assistance from the starting point of your registration and at all points of your employment. We are also able to offer online and classroom-based CPD and safeguarding training, for free.

Summary:

  • Part and Full-Time opportunities in September 2020.
  • Positions covering a variety of subjects - all specialisms advised to apply
  • Opportunity to complete NQT induction through long-term placements
  • Paid to Scale on first day of placement
  • Permanent positions available
  • Chance to trial a school to ensure you're working in the right place prior to committing

Criteria:

  • Must have recently completed PGCE (or working towards), or still have NQT Terms to complete (even if recently ended early)
  • Must be able to confidently deliver to KS3, KS4 and/or KS5 pupils with experience
  • Must possess a DBS on the Update service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • Will require two education based references

If you feel you are suitable and would like to apply, please upload your most recent CV using the link on this page.

Due to the COVID19 outbreak and ever changing Government details, all interviews for first interviews will be held with Emily via Video Link.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
