Newly Qualified Teacher Roles – Teaching Children with SEMH - Full Time
- Locations: Lewisham, Greenwich, Bexley, Croydon
- KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 all available
- Subject specialists particularly welcome: maths, English, science, ICT
Teaching Personnel is currently supporting the September recruitment plan of two SEMH schools, three SEMH academies and two PRUs (Pupil Referral Units). Due to the current circumstances, schools are offering video call interviews and they are looking for the highest quality teachers that we can provide.
If connecting with children who have challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health difficulties is your speciality, I would like to hear from you.
- Qualifications required: any teaching or education based degree that awards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Please note: schools are unwilling to appoint unqualified teachers.
Ideally you will have experience from your teaching practice that demonstrates proficient use of behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques and the ability to talk calmly and rationally with young people who may be experiencing traumatic home lives.
CPD is available from Teaching Personnel online in preparation for September including Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Assessment, Special Educational Needs and Pedagogy and Practice.
