Music Teacher - Trafford

Are you a Music Teacher looking for the next step in your career? Do you want to work in a smaller than average secondary school in Trafford?

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of recruitment within the education sector in the UK, are currently recruiting on behalf of our partner secondary school in Trafford who are seeking to appoint a full time Music Teacher from September 2019. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion, and is a fixed term contract for the duration of one academic year. After the completion of a successful academic year, the school may be in a position to offer the incoming Music Teacher a permanent contract.

  • Full time Teacher of Music from September 2019
  • Fixed term contract for the duration of the 2019/2020 academic year
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract the year after
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our partner school is located in the Stretford area of Trafford, close to both the cricket and football stadiums. The school has a positive Progress 8 score which is in line with the national average, and shows that students make expected progress throughout the curriculum. The school is accessible from a range of areas across Greater Manchester and has good public transport links. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors commented on the strength of the leadership team and that staff morale is high.

"Music is an established but growing curriculum area; we are looking to appoint a specialist teacher as this is a popular subject at our school with numbers growing steadily and with good results. We are looking to appoint a dedicated and innovative teacher to join the team from September 2019." Head of Department.

Working as a Music Teacher at our partner school, the successful candidate will be joining a friendly and successful Performing Arts department that looks to inspire every student regardless of their background. Supporting students in becoming more confident and reaching their full potential is a priority for the department. Prospective candidates should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK and ideally have previous experience teaching GCSE Music.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Music Teacher, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
