Secondary English Teacher – Bristol

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term | Permanent Opportunities
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4

We are currently working with secondary schools across Bristol seeking dedicated English teachers for long-term placements and permanent positions. This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking to establish themselves within a supportive school environment and make a lasting impact on student progress.

There is also the option to begin on a short-term or supply basis—giving you the chance to receive valuable feedback, experience different school settings, and identify the right fit before committing to a long-term role.

Your Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Support students in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Encourage a love of literature and language

  • Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities, including SEND

  • Track student progress and contribute to attainment outcomes


We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management

  • A passion for inspiring students through English

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
