Full-time Music teacher required from September 2019 for a Secondary School in Salford.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary School in Salford aiding them in recruiting a Music teacher for an immediate start.

  • Full-time Music Teacher position covering Maternity leave for one term until Christmas, with the possibility of this being extended depending on success.
  • Teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and working alongside other staff members in the Music department.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Mathematics.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Mathematics teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Opportunity to work in a 'Good' Ofsted graded Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406).

Working as a Music Teacher in our client school, responsibilities will include:

  • Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Music.
  • Assessing and evaluating class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering Music lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.
  • Guiding pupils with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties and implement strategies to help manage this behaviour.
  • Promoting positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Our client Secondary school is looking for a Music teacher who can aid pupils' attainment alongside providing behaviour management skills. Our client school does provide excellent behavioural support for their staff however; any experience with behaviour management training, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties will be highly valued.

The school is based in Salford and is accessible via both the M60 and A580 from areas such as Salford, Bolton and central Manchester. For non-driver s, the school is accessible via several forms of public transport with direct links from the surrounding areas of Manchester.
