Job description

Mathematics is a subject that everyone experiences. Some have positive experiences, which allows them to progress onto jobs in related areas. Other people have quite the opposite experience, and sincerely struggle with subject. We want tutors who can make the latter like the former: show that Maths can be a gateway for everyone. Are you a Teacher/Tutor who wants to help transform this perspective? The this may be the role for you!

We are currently looking for Maths Tutors in Lincoln and the surrounding areas to provide tuition to a growing number of young people needing support with their academic studies. As one of our tutors, we will expect a passionate and charismatic output into all roles you take on, as well as total dedication to professionalism, respect and safeguarding for the safety of our young people.

The pay for a Tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils may need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.

Requirements for the role:

-          A solid grasp of the English Language to convey themselves to students.

-          Based in the UK (Home address)

-          A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.

-          An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

-          Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

-          UK Teaching experience is desirable.

-          Classroom/1-1 teaching experience desirable, as well as knowledge of up-to-date safeguarding training for those in education.

-          An excellent understanding of the Maths curriculum and Exam Board.

-          Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
