Maths Tutor – Inspire and Support Pupils with SEMH Needs

Pay Rate: £25 – £35 per hour (depending on experience and location)

Are you an experienced Maths tutor or teacher with a passion for working 1:1 with learners who need more than just academic support? We’re looking for a dedicated Maths Tutor to deliver engaging tuition from KS2 to KS4 for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

• Deliver tailored Maths tuition in the home or local community

• Support pupils with SEMH challenges, using a compassionate and flexible approach

• Adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning styles and emotional needs

• Manage your own diary and availability, with flexibility to suit families’ schedules

• Build strong, supportive relationships that promote trust and academic progress

Requirements:

• QTS is preferred; however, applicants with UK-recognised teaching qualifications and substantial relevant experience are also welcome

• Experience working with pupils with SEMH or additional needs is essential

• Ability to travel within your local area and work in diverse, non-school settings

• Confident delivering Maths up to GCSE (KS4) level

• Organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
