Maths Teacher - SEN School

Teaching Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Maths Teacher, capable of working with pupils with Challenging Behaviour in an Alternative Provision based in Colchester, Essex.

The School

A fantastic Alternative Provision which caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties who have been removed from mainstream education. The schools aims are to provide stimulating learning opportunities, through a robust, exciting, responsive, progressive curriculum and highly qualified, motivated and experienced teachers and learning support teams. They also want to provide opportunities for pupils to enhance their life chances of through academic, personal and social development through the normal curriculum, the residential provision and the interaction with the wider environment.

The role requires a strong and enthusiastic Maths teacher for a long-term role beginning after Easter and continuing up until the end of the academic year with potential to be extended in to the new academic year and ongoing.

The Candidate

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Available for a full-time role

- Experience working with children with different educational needs

- Confidence differentiating lessons for pupils with a range of different academic abilities

- Knowledge of curriculum for pupils with challenging behaviours who've been referred from mainstream education
