Maths Teacher - Prestwich

Would you like to work in a successful Maths department with a proven track record?

Due to a gap in the department, our partner school in Prestwich are seeking a Maths teacher to join them in September 2019 on a one year contract in the first instance. The role within this growing secondary school will include teaching KS3 and KS4 Mathematics curriculum, ensuring learners are engaged with Maths.

  • Full time Teacher of Mathematics from September 2019
  • Role until July 2020, with a view of a more progressive and permanent role thereafter
  • Teaching Maths up to KS4 level
  • Small secondary school in Prestwich
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our partner school in the Prestwich area of North Manchester has fewer than 900 students currently, but are expanding in the near future. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school and make an impact within an already successful department. Located a short drive from the M60 and with a Metrolink stop within a 5 minute walk, this mixed comprehensive school is popular as well as having a good reputation within the community.

The successful candidate will also have the chance to develop the curriculum/new schemes of work and be involved with extra-curricular projects to boost learner engagement throughout the school.

"We are looking for talented teachers who are passionate about Maths and making a difference to the lives of young people. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and sharing best practice throughout the department and across the whole school is a key part of us moving forward and improving ourselves as a school." Headteacher.

Our partner school are looking for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in North Manchester. Prospective applicants should be:

  • A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree) to teach across all key stages and who has excellent subject knowledge
  • A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning and who will expect excellence from the students
  • A collaborative and motivated individual who will lead the subject through a variety of innovative approaches including curriculum design, teaching strategies, use of technology and intervention programmes

If you would like to apply for this post as a Maths Teacher, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
