Maths Teacher

An SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Middlesbrough are in need of a Maths teacher after February half term for the duration of the academic year with potential of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The role will consist of working with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who are not in mainstream education for various reasons including social anxiety, ODD, Autism and ADHD. Experience managing challenging behaviour is mandatory and you will be confident working within challenging or SEND settings. You will also be confident teaching up to Key Stage 4 Mathematics, however most of the students are working at more of a Functional Skills Level.

The provision are searching for someone with a nurturing personality who is passionate about their subject but also helping young people develop socially and emotionally. This role will consist of working between the hours of 8:30-3:30 five days per week and there will be planning and marking involved.
