Teaching Personnel are looking for a talented Teacher of Maths to join our partner school in the Consett area. This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone looking for full time employment, as the role is due to start in March 2020 and run until the end of the calendar year. Though it is a maternity cover, there is the possibility of being made permanent for the right candidate.
Boasting a positive progress 8 score, the maths department are highly successful with low, middle and high attaining pupils, enjoying a large proportion of 8's and 9's last year. The department work collaboratively together, sharing lessons and best practise on a regular basis. The school itself has excellent public transport links as well as being accessible to areas such as South Tyneside, Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead and Newcastle.

- Positive Maths progress 8 score
The Role:
- Maternity cover starting in March 2020 until Christmas 2020
- Delivering lessons to year 10 & 11 GCSE classes
- Helping to run intervention sessions to raise attainment and stretch top learners
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department to ensure all work is standardised
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (UK equivalent acceptable)
- Experience Teaching Maths in the secondary/high school environment
- Strong record of attainment at GCSE
- Experience teaching up to A-Level (preferable)
- Ability to contribute to STEM projects (preferable)
