Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Maths teacher on behalf of our key partner secondary school located within the Wigan authority.

Due to a gap within their Maths department, this 11-18 secondary school wish to appoint a Maths teacher ahead of September 2019.

  • Full-time Maths teacher fixed term position (12 months initially with permanent post available to the ideal applicant)
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' school who achieve results well above the national average
  • Leading a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes
  • Located a short drive from the East Lancashire road
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£23,720 - £39,406)

The incoming Maths teacher will be required to take on a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes and be fully committed to all departmental responsibilities including; Planning and marking, following schemes of work, attending regular training and development opportunities and half termly parents evenings.

Our client school is a modern secondary school that is located on the border of Wigan and Leigh, with excellent motor way and public transport links making it easily commutable from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Salford and Bolton .

The school recently relocated to a purpose built site with teaching and learning at the forefront of the design, and the 1200 students can benefit from excellent provisions for learning. The school aims to ensure students are keen to learn and make outstanding progress in their lessons, and the incoming Maths teacher will be able to demonstrate creativity in their subject and encouraging pupil participation.
