Full-time and part-time Year 7 Catch up Maths Graduate Tutors required from September 2020, for a Saltash based secondary school.

Year 7 Catch up:

The Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium gives state-funded schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or Maths at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).

If you are a confident Maths Graduate/Teacher with experience working with young people, supporting with their teaching and learning then please see the details below for the Year 7 Catch up Maths Graduate Tutors.

-          Full time and part time Maths Graduate Tutors required for Year 7 Catch up – Saltash based.

-          Must hold subject specific qualifications within Maths to be considered, alongside experience working with young people within a classroom capacity.

-          Earn up to GBP GBP1300+ per month, dependant upon qualifications and experience.*

The incoming Year 7 Catch up Maths Graduate Tutors will be required to support with the transition for Year 7 pupils up coming from Key Stage 2 in Maths. The bridge between them and their peers can be prevalent when assessed against national expected averages within Mathematics, and the introduction of Maths Graduate Tutors can help to reduce this.

-          Extensive subject knowledge is essential; supporting within the Maths department will be highly advantageous as experience will be highly applicable.

-          Confidence in ability to build positive relationship with pupils and promote a Growth Mind-Set.

-          Deliver Maths sessions at Key Stage 3 level to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and deliver pre-planned Maths sessions to low achieving pupils.

Salford is easily accessible via major road links, the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also various public transport options readily available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
