Our client secondary school is looking for an effective Maths teacher to join them in October for the remainder of the academic year to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This inner city Manchester based secondary school is highly supportive of all staff and is part of a local MAT which is particularly reputable in the Manchester area. The successful Maths teacher should have strong behaviour management skills and an effective presence, able to engage students of all backgrounds and abilities in this diverse mixed secondary school.

The successful Mathematician is required on a full time basis starting in Ocotber and will be expected to take on all planning and marking responsibilities as well as any additional inter-departmental responsibilities. If you are due to be available in September or in October then apply now as there are opportunities to gain an introduction to this supportive school through daily supply from the beginning of the new academic year. This would prove to be an effective route into a long term placement. The school will be looking to formally interview and observe Mathematics applicants during the first month of the new academic year in September.

Key aspects of this Maths teaching position:

  • Full time Maths teacher required: October 2019 (remainder of the academic year to cover a maternity leave)
  • Pay dependent and in line with the new 2019/2020 payscale (£23720 - £39406 per annum equivalent)
  • Teach within a successful and reputable multi academy trust of choice in the Manchester area
  • Full teaching timetable: planning and marking responsibilities expected

This secondary school is situated in the central Manchester area, a short walk away from the local metrolink stop. The school is housed in a new bespoke building with the latest facilities including a fully equipped Maths department with smart boards in each classroom and working space including app based tablets.

Given the school's location in the inner city area, effective behaviour management strategies are a must for the successful Maths teacher. The school is extremely supportive with a fully staffed internal pastoral team who support across all subjects especially Maths (Science and English).

If you are a successful teacher of Maths looking for a teaching position starting in October following the half term break then apply now with your latest CV. If you are available from September then apply now for consideration given the opportunity to provide supply cover prior to the start of the maternity cover.
