Maths Teacher – Permanent Position
Location: Burnley Area (School Anonymised)
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner if possible
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Additional SEN allowance available
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Key Stages: KS3 and KS4

About the role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging Maths curriculum to students across KS3 and KS4. You will:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students.

  • Monitor and support student progress and development.

  • Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance.

  • Contribute to raising standards of achievement and engagement in Maths.

  • Be an active and collaborative member of the wider teaching team.


About you:
The school is looking for a dedicated and driven Maths practitioner who meets the following criteria:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Degree in a Maths-based subject or relevant post-degree conversion.

  • Demonstrates high-quality classroom practice and student impact.

  • Skilled in using data to inform teaching and support progress.

  • Strong ICT competence to enhance learning.

  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
