Teacher of Maths required for October 2017 or January 2018

  • Suitable for a MPS teacher, although NQT's and RQT's can be considered for the role
  • Full time position on a temp to perm basis
  • The school typically pays 2.5% higher than the national pay scale for teachers

The School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher of Maths to join a committed and highly successful department. The post would be suitable for an experienced main scale teacher or consideration given for an NQT or RQT.

The School is a high achieving school in the Portsmouth area. Its pupil numbers are increasing in size as part of the school strategy for meeting local need and demand for places. The school has a welcoming atmosphere and a strong team of committed and supportive staff.

In 2016, pupils achieved 68% A*-C in English and Maths, 5 A*-B is including English and Maths: 27%. Ebacc: 27% & Progress 8: +0.5.

The school offers a strong leadership team, able and enthusiastic staff, a highly caring and supportive ethos, an outstanding curriculum that supports learning effectively, excellent partnerships with local schools and colleges and the wider community and supportive governors and parents.

The school has a strong ethos for caring for the wellbeing of staff and pays typically 2% higher than the standard pay scale for teachers. All meetings are scheduled within the school day for teachers which is between 8.30am – 4pm.
