Job Title: Maths Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Levenshulme

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative mathematics lessons to students
  • Plan and prepare lesson materials in line with the curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Provide feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching mathematics to secondary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching

Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily conducted in a classroom setting
  • Typical school hours with additional time required for lesson planning and grading
  • Potential involvement in extracurricular activities and parent-teacher meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
