An average sized Secondary Academy on the East side of Leeds, West Yorkshire are currently seeking to appoint a qualified Maths teacher on a part time basis for 1 term. The role would involve teaching for 3 days per week (days have not yet be confirmed so could be flexible to your availability. The position would start in September (again, could be flexible with starts dates by up to 2 weeks) up until the end of the Autumn term.
You would be teaching KS3 Maths and GCSE Maths so must have recent experience of teaching these levels. The role has come about as the school are adjusting the timetable slightly in the Autumn term to allow for additional small group interventions with new Year 7 pupils. There may be opportunity for future work at the School beyond Christmas within the Maths department.
The school is forward thinking and has many measures in place to continue to improve behaviour and results, with a supportive management team and great ethos. You will join a friendly department who have well-established resources and schemes of work for you to use to make your transition into the team seamless.
The school is located just a short drive from the M1 and not much further from the A1 and therefore is easily accessible from most areas of West Yorkshire as well as North and South Yorkshire.
Pay rates are between £120-£187 per day (depending on experience) and payroll runs weekly.
You must have QTS in the UK and recent experience of teaching Secondary Maths in the UK to be considered for this role.
