Are you confident with numbers and passionate about helping others succeed? TP Tutors is looking for committed and enthusiastic Maths tutors to support learners in Alvaston as they work towards their Functional Skills Maths qualifications.
About the Role
We’re seeking individuals who can deliver high-quality, tailored Maths tuition either one-to-one or in small groups. Whether you're an experienced tutor or have a background in education, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community.
What You’ll Be Doing

Plan and deliver engaging Maths sessions based on individual learning needs

Adapt your teaching approach to support different abilities and learning styles

Track progress and build learners’ confidence in key mathematical concepts

Encourage problem-solving, resilience, and independent thinking
Who We’re Looking For
-
Experience in tutoring or education (especially in Maths or Functional Skills)

Strong knowledge of the Functional Skills Maths curriculum
-
A patient, approachable teaching style and a passion for helping learners grow

A teaching qualification is a bonus but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
