Job Duties:

The Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality mathematics lessons to students, ensuring a stimulating learning environment. They will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. The Maths Teacher will also maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.

Education:

A degree in Mathematics or a related subject is required, along with a valid QTS.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for mathematics
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) in Mathematics

Working Conditions:

The Maths Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. They may need to attend meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions outside regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
