Maths teacher - Maternity Cover - Bolton based Secondary School - January 2019

Our client school located in Bolton have an upcoming opportunity for any Maths teachers looking to secure a fixed term role within a high achieving school which holds a great reputation.

This Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school located in Westhoughton wish to appoint a Maths teacher to cover a maternity leave from January 2019.

The incoming Maths teacher will initially be employed on a 12 months basis to cover this temporary absence, however there are possibilities of the Maths department expanding due to every increasing numbers their may be permanent opportunities available within the department in the near future.

  • Full time Maths post from January 2019
  • Delivering a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE Maths
  • High achieving Maths department with a supportive SLT in place within school
  • Outstanding pupil behaviour highlighted within their most recent Ofsted report

The successful Maths teacher will hold a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes. Pupils are setted on ability and the incoming Maths teacher will be comfortable delivering to all ability levels. You will be required to commit to taking on full teaching responsibilities including; planning and marking, following schemes of work, attending regular training and development opportunities and half termly parents evenings.

The school is an 11-16 mixed community comprehensive school situated on the border of Bolton and Wigan within Bolton Council's boundaries. It is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll and the vast majority of children are of white British heritage. Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.
