We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across the Blackpool area on a day-to-day supply basis.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged with their learning throughout the lesson.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring work is completed.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Providing support and guidance to students where required.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Liaising with teaching staff and reporting back on lesson outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• The confidence to lead a classroom independently.
• A professional, adaptable and proactive approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or support capacity.
• Availability to work on a flexible, day-to-day basis.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
