Empower Students as a Flexible Maths Tutor – Nottinghamshire

Are you passionate about Maths and committed to helping students succeed? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Maths tutors to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to provide focused academic support on a flexible schedule that works for you.

About the Role

As a Maths tutor, you'll deliver personalised tuition that builds confidence, fills knowledge gaps, and prepares students for exams. Sessions take place one-to-one or in small groups, aligned with the national curriculum, in schools or designated off-site locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted Maths tuition to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Tailor each session to meet individual needs and learning styles

  • Support pupils in understanding key mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques

  • Maintain a professional and consistent teaching approach

  • Deliver sessions across various settings, depending on need

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, between 8:30am – 4:00pm

  • Up to 10–15 hours of tuition per pupil, with the chance to support several pupils per day

  • You choose your availability to suit your lifestyle or other commitments

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualified teachers

  • Experienced private tutors

  • Graduates with strong subject knowledge in Maths

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring Maths at KS3 and/or KS4

  • Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and assessment methods

  • Ability to adapt your teaching to different ability levels

  • Organised, professional, and able to work independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
