Maths Teacher Opportunity- Birmingham (B26)
Are you a passionate and qualified teacher of Maths? Here at Teaching Personnel, we are in collaboration with a mainstream secondary school to appoint a dedicated maths teacher to an exciting full time position commencing in September 2025.
Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)
Hours: Full Time, term-time only (Mon-Fri)
Location: Mainstream secondary school, B26
Start Date: September 2025
Ideal applicant specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school
- Excellent behaviour management skills and a strong classroom presence
- Excellent subject knowledge and awareness of the national curriculum for maths
- Genuine passion for maths education and supporting children's learning
- Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs
- Enhanced, child-only DBS on update service (or willing to obtain one)
Roles and responsibilities
- Plan a range of Maths lessons to various year groups- ensuring you differentiate sessions to suit individual needs
- Regularly assess and monitor pupil progress and provide them with insightful feedback to support with their learning
- Encourage active participation within your lessons, especially to those with SEN/SEMH additional learning needs
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where students can express themselves freely
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively- setting expectations early to create a calm and safe classroom
- Maintain a committed stance to safeguarding, prioritising pupils' & staff's health, safety and well-being at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
