Experienced Maths Teacher – Full Time – Long Term – East Birmingham
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
Essential Requirement: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected secondary school located on the East side of Birmingham, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their successful Maths department on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator with strong subject knowledge and a proven track record of delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue for the foreseeable future, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare, and assess student progress in line with the national curriculum

  • Work collaboratively with the department to drive student attainment and achievement

  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing interventions where necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – this is essential

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Maths at secondary level

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students

  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning

  • Commitment to contributing to the wider school community and departmental improvement
