Role: Teacher of Maths

Start date: Monday 9th September 2024.

Contract type: Part-time (four days), initially until May 2025.

Location: Bacup, Lancashire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful school to teach Maths across KS3 & 4.

We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place with outstanding colleagues and inspirational leaders, working with excellent facilities.

Our most recent GCSE results demonstrate significant improvement in performance, with student progress above the national average. We are therefore seeking to recruit a colleague with excellent subject knowledge and clear evidence of their motivation and ability to deliver excellent outcomes for students.

This appointment provides an opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic Maths specialist who aspires to further promotion beyond this appointment. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Plan and teach lessons within the context of the school’s curriculum and schemes of work;

-          Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned students;

-          Participate in arrangements for preparing students for external examinations.

-          Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values, ethos and vision;

-          Work with others on curriculum and/or student development to secure co-ordinated outcomes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
