Maths Teacher

Full-time Maths Teacher required for a 'Good' graded Roman Catholic High School in Ashton-in-Makerfield.

The school wish to meet with Maths teachers at their convenience with the aim of appointing a forward thinking Maths teacher who is able to start in March 2019.

  • Full-time Maths teaching position
  • March 2019 start date - 12 month contract
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities included
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS scale £23,720 - £39,406
  • Must hold QTS specialising in Maths and have taught Maths at GCSE level.
  • Maths Graded 'Outstanding' in subject Ofsted report

The Head of Maths at our client secondary school seeks to appoint a Maths teacher in order to cover a staffing gap within the schools Maths department. The school will require the successful teacher to start in March 2019 however if available earlier then there could be the possibility of an earlier start.

To be successful for this role you must have experience delivering GCSE Maths lessons to a range of pupils in mixed ability sets, ensuring that all of your pupils are working closely towards their target grades. You must be able to cater for the needs of your students finding alternative methods of teaching and solving problems to suit each individuals needs.

Our client school is larger than the average Secondary school with around 1207 pupils currently on roll. The school is a Catholic faith school therefore you must respect the Catholic ethos of the school. The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan bordering Salford which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Leigh and Chorley.
