Are you a teacher with experience working closely with young people and wish to utilise your Maths skills and knowledge to support identified pupils in a mainstream secondary school? Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a large, mixed secondary school located in the Altrincham area who are looking to recruit a Maths intervention teacher from February to join their department. This full time teaching role will require 2 hours of class teaching per week for the age range and ability of KS3 and KS4. As the appointed Maths intervention teacher, you will be expected to support pupils in smaller groups or on a 1:1 basis in preparation for the GCSE examinations in May/June.
Key aspects of this Maths intervention teacher position:
- Full time Maths intervention teacher required from 25th Feb until July 2019.
- Option to progress onto a school based contract for the suitable applicant.
- Pay will range between £120 - £150 per day, dependant upon experience.
- Teach at a highly reputable and supportive secondary school.
- Located in the Altrincham area easily accessible via public transport (Metrolink) as well as the M60, M56 and M2 motorway networks.
This 'Outstanding' comprehensive secondary school is the school of choice for staff, parents and students alike within the Altrincham/Sale area. The school prides itself on its fantastic reputation which is also shown in its intake for the A-level provision and onsite learning resource centre. The school is located in the secure, residential area of Altrincham/Sale, making it easily commutable for a full time Maths intervention teacher via the Altrincham Metrolink line. For teachers travelling by car, the larger than average secondary school surrounds a number of motorways links including the M60 and offers a secure and accessible car park.
If you are a teacher with good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Maths and have experience providing interventional support to identified pupils then this could be the role for you!
