Maths graduate Teaching Assistant- Wigan
Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking the support of a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant on behalf of our partner secondary school in Wigan:
- Maths graduate Teaching Assistant
- Full & part-time hours available
- Providing support in Maths lessons and with small groups of pupils
- School located in central Wigan
In preparation for the upcoming end of year exams, the Assistant Head teacher responsible for teaching and learning wishes to add a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant to the Maths department as soon as possible. This position is ideal for any Maths graduates seeking to utilise to use their passion for Maths to support across all year groups.
The role will specifically involve supporting pupils within their Maths classes and providing small group interventions. Further, there will be the opportunity to deliver pre-set work ensuring that the pupils are engaged within their studies and are on course to achieve their target grades.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths graduate or an aspiring Maths Teacher to gain first hand experience of providing Maths support within a high performing secondary school. You will be expected to work with all ages and abilities. Therefore, the ability to establish rapport whilst maintaining a considerable level of discipline is paramount.
Our partner school is centrally located making it easily accessible by car or public transport. It has an excellent reputation within the local area for the high standard of education that it provides for it's pupils.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
