Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a full time Maths graduate Teaching Assistant for one of our partner secondary schools in the Wythenshawe area. The role starts in October 2023 until the end of the academic year, if you have just graduated and are looking to build your career in a school this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Our client is looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about working and helping to develop the knowledge of young people. Our partner school provides the best learning experience they can to their students, they are constantly striving to improve their methods and facilities to consistently get better. The school also offers many of CPD courses for members of their team to better themselves and provide better teaching.

• Work with teachers to help identify students who would benefit from receiving extended support
• Raise pupils’ subject knowledge across ability levels
• Support children with SEN requirements, these additional needs could be but are not limited to Autism, Dyslexia or ADHD. Some SEN requirements can directly affect behaviour, it will also be your role to support those students
• Independently run 1:1 and small group sessions outside of the classroom
• Teach full classes when absences occur

Another key aspect of your role is to support Year 7’s who are struggling with the transition into secondary school life, you will act as a mentor and be there to offer an ear when they having something on their mind as well as offering advice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
