Maths Graduate Opportunity

Are you coming towards the end of your degree/studies and looking for support with a route in to secondary teaching?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a nationally recognised teaching school, in preparation for September 2020 and in collaboration with our Future Teachers programme. We have a number of Graduate Teaching Assistant positions throughout our partner schools in Liverpool and Wirral. We are looking for ambitious Maths Graduates who are keen to pursue a career in teaching; this is a 12 month position as a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant in which you will be fully supported as you prepare for teacher training and the schools direct teaching programme from September 2020.

•Train to become a secondary teacher in a nationally recognised, outstanding teaching school

•Specifically designed to create a pathway into Maths teaching for Math Graduates

This is a programme designed by the school working in partnership with Teaching Personnel, so for 12 months and the next academic year you will work as a Teaching Assistant within the selected schools. Responsibilities will include; supporting class teachers in Maths lessons, leading small groups within the Maths dept., monitoring progress and attainment and reporting to class teachers. This is a graduate programme; you will be fully supported for 12 months and readied to then begin your teacher training from September 2020 within your chosen subject (Maths). This is a successful method by the school to recruit graduates and develop them to become outstanding teachers, we welcome applications from all Maths Graduates keen to forge a career in teaching.

Teaching Personnel are facilitating the recruitment on our schools behalf, to be considered you will need to have or be nearing the end of your degree, previous experience in a school is advantageous but not essential. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
