Teaching Personnel are working with our partner school in Manchester to help a skilled Maths Graduate start their career in education, and to secure a position working as a Maths teaching assistant for the duration of next academic year, with a view to potentially continuing as a permanent member of staff or giving yourself the best possible opportunity to start a teacher training programme.

  • September 2020 start date
  • Facilitate learning in your specialist area of Mathematics

  • Attractive pay rates – earn up to GBP350 per week
  • School ideally located on met line from centre of Manchester for non-drivers

Working as a Maths Teaching Assistant is the ideal opportunity for a Maths Graduate to gain the skills and experience at the start of the journey to becoming a Maths teacher. During the post as a Maths Teaching Assistant, the successful Maths Graduate will be tasked with helping boost results in Mathematics and ensure students are focussed on their learning during lessons. The successful graduate will also deliver booster and revisions sessions, as well as working with small groups of students on set topics, dependant on levels of attainment and progress.

The ideal applicant to this position will be a graduate of Mathematics with aspirations of moving in to a career in education in the near future. The school have said previous experience in a similar role is not essential, but preferred and anyone with experience in a similar capacity such as tutoring will also be a good fit for the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
