Maths and English Tutor

We are recruiting experienced tutors and teachers who are interested in providing 1:1 face to face tuition. Teaching Personnel work closely with the Local Authorities, Virtual Schools and SEN Services across the New Forest and have seen a growing demand in tuition following the coronavirus pandemic.

The requests for tuition will vary for pupils in age, ability and subject requirements. However, to fulfil our current demand we are looking for specialists within core subjects (English, Maths and Science) and experience within either primary or secondary settings.

Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

• Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
• Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
• Medical needs
• Relocation and awaiting a school placement
• Improvement in grades
• Support with GCSE preparation

The majority of our current placements are supporting pupils not in education who are awaiting school placements and have missed chunks of education. Your focus will be to close the gap between them and their peers and ensure they do not fall too far behind. This role will therefore suit candidates looking to utilise their teaching skills outside of school environments.

Tuition will best suit teachers who are looking for flexibility and to manage their own time. Our tuition requests vary from 1 hour to full time support allowing you full flexibility and to work with as many pupils as your schedule will allow.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
