Job Title: Maths and English - Qualified Tutor

Location: Bedfordshire, Bedford

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified Maths and English Tutor to join our team in Bedford, East of England. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and support to students in both Maths and English subjects.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Maths and English
  • Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised learning plans
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and support
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practises and resources

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics, English or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths and English

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, English or a related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field
  • Experience in delivering online tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
