Teaching Opportunity – Maths & Computing (Full Academic Year)
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2025
A respected secondary school in Blackburn is seeking to appoint a committed and knowledgeable Teacher of Maths and Computing for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This role will span the entire academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified educator to join a committed and supportive team, delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stages. For the right candidate, there may be the potential to teach Key Stage 4 classes.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as strong early career teachers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Maths and Computing across Key Stage 3, with potential to teach Key Stage 4 depending on experience
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress in line with school and national standards
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Upholding the school's values and maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
