Maths Teacher – PRU – East Lancashire
Full-time | Long-term | Start: September 2025
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to work on a full-time, long-term basis in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in East Lancashire. This role is to start in September 2025 and is expected to continue for the full academic year, with the potential to extend further.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to pupils who have been referred to the PRU, often due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You will need to plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, support pupils both academically and emotionally, and work closely with the wider pastoral and teaching teams to ensure a consistent and nurturing environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
-
Experience working with vulnerable pupils or in alternative provision settings is highly desirable
-
A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
