Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive secondary school in Bury to source a full-time Mathematics teacher to join their successful Mathematics department from April 2019 (or sooner if possible).
This full-time Mathematics position has arisen due to a need to reduce numbers within classes and is an open gap within the school. Following an initial term working on a temporary basis, the successful Mathematics teacher will have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school.
- Full-time Mathematics teacher required for open gap within a secondary school in Bury.
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).
- Teaching both Key Stage Three and GCSE Mathematics with full responsibilities of planning and marking.
- Ofsted graded 'Good' Bury based secondary school
The Mathematics department have been praised for providing support to all pupils and ensuring all abilities have the opportunity to achieve excellence. The incoming Mathematics teacher will be expected to teach students across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four, and also assess the abilities of lower attaining pupils to put additional support in place.
The school have expressed a requirement to appoint a Mathematics teacher that has experience teaching students across all ability levels, as the school has higher levels of pupils that require additional support in lessons (EAL & SEN).
Located in Bury, our partner secondary school is situated near to the M66 motorway. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from central Manchester, Bolton and Rochdale.
Both newly qualified and experienced Mathematics teachers are welcome to apply for this position. For immediate consideration, a full CV must be sent to Nicola Pollitt outlining all teaching experiences. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Manchester West Secondary Office on the phone number provided below;
