MAPA Learning Support - Batley

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for candidates with the Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent deescalation qualification for a support role at a school in Batley. The school caters to primary aged students of mixed abilities who have been excluded from mainstream education either temporarily or permanently and who require inclusion support. These students may be from disadvantaged backgrounds, Looked After backgrounds, have attachment disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

These students require someone who is open minded and non-judgemental to their situation and who is dedicated to helping them overcome their academic obstacles and to be more engaged through tailored 1:1 support.

You must have the Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent deescalation qualification and experience working in education and/or with vulnerable people. If you do not have these qualifications then you must be willing to get them, Teaching Personnel can provide the Team Teach training.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
