Early Years Teaching Assistant Required - Blackburn

Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a nursery setting? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join a welcoming early years provision in Blackburn for the full 2026/2027 academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity to support young children during the most important stage of their development, helping to create engaging learning experiences that promote confidence, independence and school readiness.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the nursery setting.
Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging early years activities.
Encourage children's social, emotional and communication development.
Support children's personal care needs where required.
Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, practitioners and parents.

Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
