Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact within a primary school environment? We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Mainstream Primary School in Blackburn for the full academic year.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support pupils in achieving their full potential while working alongside experienced teachers and educational professionals in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide classroom support for individuals and small groups of pupils.
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support pupils with varying educational and developmental needs.
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent Early Years qualification, would be desirable but is not essential.
