At Teaching Personnel we have a specialist SEN branch that exclusively supports the Special Educational Needs schools in Basingstoke. These schools are currently seeking members of short term and permanent members of staff to support non-verbal pupils across primary and secondary provisions.

These schools support pupils with aspects of their day to day life, working toward outlined Education, Health and Care Plans. The use of Makaton will enable pupils to communicate with staff, including typical everyday tasks such as learning at school, asking for food and drink, sorting out problems, making friends and having fun.

Experienced using Makaton in professional or personal life will enable applicants to transition into the schools, enabling Learning Support Staff to communicate with pupils straight away using sign and symbols.

We are currently looking for applicants who are available immediately and can work in full, part and day to day positions. These roles will work between the hours of 08.30 and 15.30, Monday to Friday.

Applicants for this position will be subject to a vetting process, including a minimum education requirement of GCSE's English and Maths, Enhanced Child Workforce DBS Check, Graded Reference collection.
